What is Annual Multi-trip Travel Insurance?
This policy is ideally suited to those people who travel several times a year. All our annual policies cover you for an unlimited number of trips during the year, providing each trip does not last more than 31 days. This trip limit can be increased on some cover levels, if you pay an additional premium. Please call us on 020 3859 7000 for further details.
What is the difference between single trip and multi-trip insurance?
Our single trip policies provide cover for one specific trip. Our annual policies provide cover for 12 months and during this time you are covered for travel on an unlimited number of trips during the year, providing each trip does not last more than 31 days.
When should you start Annual travel insurance?
With annual policies, cover starts on the chosen start date for 365 days. Cover under the cancellation section of the policy will commence on the start date of the policy for all booked trips, providing you with peace of mind should you need to cancel your trip because of, for example, injury or ill health. Cover under the remaining sections of cover will not commence until the start of your booked trip.
What is an excess?
If you need to make a claim under certain sections of cover where an excess applies, we will deduct the amount of the policy excess from the sum we pay you for any valid claim. The excess will apply to each person claiming and to each incident and to each section of the policy under which a claim is made.
What if my claim is less than the excess?
If the amount you claim under your policy is less than your excess, then this becomes an un insurable loss as your claim falls within the excess being the first amount you have to pay.
Can I cancel my travel insurance?
If you decide your policy is not suitable, you can cancel your policy within 14 days of buying your policy and provided you have not travelled or have made a claim, receive a full refund. It is possible to cancel your policy outside of this period, subject to a charge for the cover you have received. No refunds will be given if you have travelled or made a claim on your policy.
